Head Coach/Sprints/Hurdles/Relays:
Cameron Magnall
Cameron Magnall is in his first year as the Head Coach at South HS. Prior to coming to South, Coach Magnall was the Head Cross Country/Track & Field Coach at McPherson College (2011-2018) and Sterling College (2019-2021). During that time, he coached 38 NAIA All-Americans, 90 KCAC Individual Champions, Led his teams to KCAC Indoor and Outdoor Team Championships and was twice named KCAC Coach of the Year. Prior to that, he was the Head Cross Country and Track & Field Coach at Falcon HS in Colorado (2005-2011). While there he coached 4 Nike Track All-Americans, 5 State Track Champions and his 2008 Boy's Cross Country Team was 4A State Champions. He was named the Colorado XC Coach of the Year for all classes in 2008.
Coach Magnall is in his 2nd year teaching at South HS. He has 4 children (Delfino 16, Serenity 15, Jacob 14 and Rhapsody 8) and enjoys gardening, running, traveling and golf in his free time.

Head Assistant Coach/Throws:
Jody Nutter
Jody Nutter has been with Salina South Track and Field as a Throwers coach since the spring of 2005. Jody competed at the college level at Bethany College in Lindsborg, Kansas and was a 4 time NAIA Track and Field Championship qualifier for the Swedes. While attending Bethany she competed in the Shot Put, Discus, Javelin and Hammer Throw/Indoor Weight Throw.
Jody's love of Track and Field began in high school where she began her career. She was a 3 time Kansas State Track and Field qualifier placing 3rd in the Javelin during her junior year. During her senior year she qualified in all three throwing events winning a State Championship in the 3A Discus.
Jody is in her 7th year of teaching at Salina South and lives in Salina with her family. She enjoys watching her two children play soccer, basketball, tennis and swim in the summer months.
Horizontal Jumps:
Travis Peterson
Coach Peterson is entering his tenth season as an assistant track coach. Coach Peterson is responsible for Long Jump and Triple Jump. In addition to coaching track, Coach Peterson is the head Cross Country coach, and is also an assistant basketball coach. Coach Peterson is a 2000 graduate of Salina South High School.
Coach Peterson is in his 13th year teaching overall and sixth year in his current position at Opportunity Now. In addition to teaching and coaching, Coach Peterson enjoys spending time with his wife Jayme and his two boys Tanner and Tucker.

Middle Distance:
Tim Bishop
Following an exceptional collegiate track and field career, Tim Bishop has been coaching at the high school and college-level for over a decade. After graduating from Black Hills State University in Spearfish, South Dakota in 2003, Bishop was named an assistant cross country/track and field coach at his alma mater. Upon beginning his teaching career in the fall of 2005, he joined the Spearfish High School track and field staff. During that time he worked with sprinters, middle distance runners, distance runners and jumpers. As a coach, he has been privileged to watch many of his student athletes achieve success at the South Dakota State Track and Field Championships.
Bishop, who joined Salina South in 2012, was a 16-time All-American at Butler County Community College (now Butler Community College),and Black Hills State University, and a seven-time conference champion. He received his Master's degree from South Dakota State University in 2012. He currently holds 13 school records at BCC and BHSU. Bishop resides in his hometown of Lindsborg with his wife Wesleigh, son Kaden, and two dogs, Miley and Chewy.

Throws:
Seth White
Coach White is in his 8th year of teaching and coaching at the high school level. As a 2011 graduate from Pike Valley High School, Seth was a four-sport athlete in football, basketball, track, and golf. White was also a two-time state track qualifier with a 6th place finish in 2010.
Coach White graduated from Bethany college where he competed for the track team in Javelin and the weight throw. Seth was also a student track coach in his last year at Bethany college.
Seth currently coaches Middle School Football, Bowling, & Track. During his 8 years of coaching he has coached 4 athletes to podium finishes (Top 8 in the State) with a two time State Champ and a 3rd place.
