2017-2018 Season

We had 12 girls on our team to start the year and for the first time in a long time...no seniors!

Our season started with going away to camp in Olathe! With half the team being new, this was a great way to have team bonding. Many awards were given to our team, including Team of the Day on Day 3. Whitney Turner, So. was named Miss High Kick of the camp and was also given an Outstanding Performer Award. Addie Ollenberger, Fr. was named Miss Jr. High Kick. All-Americans were Whitney and Addie. Runner-Up All-Americans were Emily Ross, So. and Bri Taylor, So. We came home with a lot of great memories and were united as a team.

We had 4 football games this year, dancing to the band music during the season. We also marched in one parade. Our last home game was a pink out game vs. Central and we raised $1800 between the two schools!

We had a very busy December with 5 home games (including a really fun Christmas dance with the Grinch) and our Lil' Peppers Clinic, which we called the Holiday Team, and we also did a performance with some Exceptional girls in 8th-12th grade. We had such a blast doing that! What a great halftime!

January meant Competition season was here! We took 3 routines to ADTS Kansas Spectacular January 19-20 and received a Sweepstakes Trophy for scoring 93 points and above (Division 1) on all 3 of our routines. Whitney Turner, So. danced a solo and was named to the Winner's Circle in the solo division.
